PR Interview:
Q: How did you get started as an actress?
Devorah: I drove to Canada to be in a film with an actor who I particularly admired, Paul Gross. And the film was Men With Brooms. The most extraordinary thing happened to me on that trip.
Q: What has been your best moment to date as any actress?
Devorah: It was when Alan Rickman told me I should take off my shoes because my feet were turning blue. Can you imagine? I was the last to be fitted in a period costume. The shoes they gave me were a full size too small. I love getting the acting tip from an A-Lister. I looked at the AD and he said “Alan Rickman told you to take your shoes off, so you’d better do it!”
Q: What kind of characters are you best at playing?
Devorah: I’m best at playing women who you don’t expect to encounter because they do and say things differently. Just try me, you’ll see what I mean.
Q: Is there a director whose work you admire and with whom you’d like to work?
Devorah: I like Kevin Murphy, especially his work on Memento with Guy Pierce. Its twists and turns kept you glued to your seat.
Q: Do you have a wishlist of directors you’d like to work with?
Devorah: Christopher Nolan, Paul Haggis, Dean Parisot, Steve Pink, John Logan, Matt Duffer, Ross Duffer, many more.
Q: What is my background as an actress?
Devorah: I grew up watching Anime and strange Canadian suspense films. I’ve taken classes from an early age and am good at taking direction and building on it.
